Over the course of their history work, the children in Year 3 have been returning to the key knowledge at the beginning of every History lesson. Their recall of the kay knowledge has improved over the weeks.
Exploring the concept of chronology, they have been trying to commit the Mesolithic, Palaeolithic and Neolithic time periods to their memories.
Their first lesson, on the 6th September 2021, involved the children placing the time periods on a timeline:
A week later, in their second lesson, they played a matching quiz where they had to match the name of the period with the time period, whilst then matching a key fact - their knowledge was noticeably improving:
